Named for the German naturalist Pyotr Simon Pallas (1741-1811), Pallas' cats are considered one of the most unique cat species in the world. They live in the cold, arid rocky terrain of Central Asia and Eastern Europe and Mongolia. They can be identified by their thick frosted fur and low set ears. Because they live in countries with few organized animal research programs, very little information is known about them. They are classified as an internationally threatened species. 12" long. | |||||||||
