Billy the Bison
We are happy to introduce the official STARFLEET 2007 International Conference mascot, Billy the Bison! Bill is an 8" plush buffalo (bison) with a customized embroidered IC logo on a green vest. This cute plush Bison is sure to become a fast selling IC collectible keep sake. Don't miss your opportunity to own this adorable mascot!

Buffalo (or bison) are the largest land animals in North America. Bulls weigh more than 2000 pounds, while cows are much smaller and weigh about half as much. They roamed the plains of America in great numbers until about 200 years ago, when they were almost hunted to extinction. Now they live mainly in parks and reserves in Canada and in the United States.

They have curved sharp horns, high shoulder humps and shaggy black or brown fur around their heads, with lighter hindquarters. Buffalo shed their thick winter coats in the spring, which gives them a ragged appearance.

Tawny yellow calves are born in May or June and are cared for by both parents as well as other members of the herd. Their natural enemies are wolves, cougars and even grizzly bears.

There are two species: Wood Buffalo are taller, darker and less stocky than their cousins, Plains Buffalo.

Available in inventory at $10.00 each.
